Pauline House Residents Only – Fire Safety Improvement Works
Following a recent fire safety inspection carried out at Pauline House by specialist contractors, a report has been submitted to the Tower Hamlets Building Safety Team. The report identified potential fire safety risks within the ground floor landing area and highlighted concerns relating to residents living on the ground floor.
In response to the findings, Tower Hamlets Council will be undertaking fire safety improvement works to reduce and mitigate these risks. The planned works will involve significant alterations to the ground floor landing area, including the installation of new fire-resistant walls and fire doors around the stairwell, Community Room, and rear exit route.
As a result of these improvements, the layout and appearance of the ground floor landing area will change substantially. These enhancements are being made to improve compartmentation, strengthen fire protection measures, and help ensure the safety of residents and visitors.
Residents will be notified of the planned work schedule and any temporary access arrangements before construction begins. We appreciate your patience and cooperation while these important safety improvements are carried out.
Please note: Emergency escape routes must remain clear at all times during and after the works.
